Weather-Related Postponements and Closings

The Leesburg School of Photography’s weather-related closings will with Loudoun County Public Schools.

We will make every effort to reschedule a weather-postponed class at a day and time acceptable to the majority of students in the class.

Student Withdrawal

A student may withdraw his or her registration for a course and receive a full or partial refund according to the schedule below.

All notices of intent to withdraw must be in writing—delivered by electronic mail, postal mail, or in person—and must be received by the School in accordance with the time frames that follow.

Tuition refund Notice of withdrawal must be received by:
100% of registration fee 5:00 PM up to five business days before the start of the first class
50% of registration fee 5:00 PM up to two business days before the start of the first class

No refund will be provided after 5:00 PM two business days before the start of the first class. “Business Days” means:  Mondays through Saturdays, weekly, except as occasionally posted on the Loudoun Street-level door leading to Suite 2a, indicating a  temporary closure for vacation or another personal absence by Photoworks personnel.

All refunds will be credited back to a credit card number or a PayPal account the registrant provides, either in person or over the phone, or it will be paid by a business check within two weeks.

School Cancellation of Courses or Individual Classes

The School reserves the right to cancel any course, workshop, or local field trip up to 72 hours prior to its starting time.

In the event of School cancellation, full tuition will be refunded to each registrant.

Student Absence due to Illness or Family Emergency

If a student is unable to attend a scheduled class because of his or her illness or because of a family emergency involving another person’s illness or death, the instructor will make an arrangement with that student to provide key content from the missed class, typically by meeting half an hour in advance of the next class session. Class handouts will also be provided, when available.

Instructor Illness or Other Conflict

In the event an instructor is unable to teach one or more classes of a multi-class course already underway, the School will either reschedule the class(es) with the same instructor or provide a different instructor as needed.

Registration and Payment Policies

All course, workshop, and local field trip registrations must be made online via the School’s official Web site: www.leesburgschoolofphotography.com. However, payment may be made either online or offline.

Online Payment via PayPal / Credit Card

Payment may be made online by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, or American Express), or by an individual’s PayPal account. Whether paid by credit card or by PayPal account, each online transaction will be managed by PayPal, using either the credit card number provided or the PayPal account number provided.

Offline Payment at School

If you prefer to avoid online payment transactions, you may make payment at the School itself—via credit card, personal check, or cash—by selecting that payment option at the time of online registration. However, your registration is not complete and your place in class is not reserved until payment is received by the School. You may call in your credit card information, but you must bring a check or cash directly to the School.

Normal business hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, except Sunday. Please call 703-777-4002 in advance to ensure that someone will be available to assist you.

Expiration Policies

All gift certificates, private or semi-private lessons, troubleshooting sessions, and tuition credits, and/or any unredeemed or unused value thereof, expire one year after their date of purchase—or on the date specified, if any—whichever occurs first.

It is each student’s responsibility to redeem any outstanding value prior to its expiration by scheduling a course, workshop or lesson.
